Ann Arbor Antiquarian Book Fair Returns

The 41st annual Ann Arbor Antiquarian Book Fair will be held Sunday, October 17th  in the ballroom of the Michigan Student Union, 530 S. State St., Ann Arbor, MI.  The hours will be 11:00am until 5:00pm.  The $5.00 admission charge benefits the William L. Clements Library of the University of Michigan.

Nearly 30 book dealers from Michigan and six other states will be offering fine used, rare and out-of-print books, maps, postcards, photographs, and prints for sale.  A wide variety of books will be available at the fair including cookbooks, art books,  out-of-print children’s books, first editions,  Americana, Michigan history, travel and exploration, as well as ephemera, antique maps, vintage photographs and prints. Prices will range from a few to thousands of dollars and there will be something for every taste and pocketbook.

The Ann Arbor Antiquarian Book Fair has long been a long tradition among bibliphiles in Ann Arbor and the surrounding area.  It calls attention to the fact that Ann Arbor is one of the most active book-buying markets in the country and a destination stop for book hunters from throughout the United States and Canada. The Midwest chapter of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA) will help in promoting the fair since a number of ABAA members will be exhibiting at the fair.

For more information contact Jay Platt of the West Side Book Shop in Ann Arbor at (734) 995-1891 or jplatt@provide.net.  The event is sponsored by the William L. Clements Library of the University of Michigan.
