The Rose City Book & Paper Fair
The Rose City Book & Paper Fair is Oregon’s premier event for used and antiquarian books. From its humble beginnings with a handful of Portland booksellers, it has grown to over 60 dealers from across the West. As the fair has grown, so have the offerings, with an expanded inventory of ephemera, pulps, and graphic works.
The fair is hosted by Cascade Booksellers Association, one of the largest regional associations in America. Amanda Doimas, president of CBA and owner of Backstory Books & Yarn, says, “I first considered opening a bookstore when I visited the Rose City Book & Paper Fair. I loved seeing the diversity of material and prices there!”
Laurelle Swan, of Swan’s Fine Books, travels regularly from California to exhibit at the fair. “As an antiquarian bookseller, what I love most about the Rose City Book & Paper Fair is the wide diversity of customers it draws. Some of the customers are there looking for that rare, elusive book which they absolutely must have for their collection. Others are looking for things they’ve never seen before, while still others come to browse and learn. It’s a vibrant fair which offers something for everyone!”
Rose City Book & Paper Fair visitors will peruse a vast array of the used, rare, and collectible - books, prints, photos, comics, magazines, and more. With vendors from across the West to check out, there will be something for everyone.
The event, is presented by the Cascade Booksellers Association, sponsored by the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the ABAA, and will take place at The DoubleTree at Lloyd Center, 1000 NE Multnomah, Portland, Oregon on June 14-15, from 10am to 5pm on both days.
